Our team has expertise in all areas of project development including: analysis of site suitability, solar radiation resource assessment, securing all necessary land-related entitlements, transmission analysis, project design and engineering, project economics, power purchase agreement negotiations, and plant construction. The Company has close working relationships with national firms who are leaders in their respective fields of discipline.
Dan Predpall
Dan Predpall is Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Predpall joined the Company after spending 28 years at URS Corporation, where he was Vice President of the Power Business Line for this $8 billion firm. While at URS, Mr. Predpall led their power siting practice, and conducted over one hundred siting projects throughout the United States using a state-of-the-art siting process he designed. He has over 35 years experience in power plant site selection, permitting, and risk management. During the past 15 years, he has specialized in early solar project development.
David Saul
David Saul is Co-Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Saul has over 20 years of experience in the Solar Power industry. He held a management position in Luz, the original developer of solar thermal electric plants in California, and later served as COO for Solel, Inc., the leading parabolic trough developer. These two companies combined built over $1B of solar plants which were the first solar utility projects constructed. Recently, he planned and directed the early development of a 553 MW solar project, including negotiation of a multi-billion dollar Power Purchase Agreement with Pacific Gas & Electric. Mr. Saul was also responsible for assembling two of the largest portfolios of solar properties in the Southwest suitable for large-scale solar development which were acquired by large renewable companies.
Ken Simback
Ken Simback is Vice President for Land Management. Mr. Simback is a successful real estate developer with a wealth of experience in the Southeast. Mr. Simback has assembled and negotiatedthe agreements for large land portfolios and developed and managed multiple mixed-use, commercial and industrial projects valued well in excess of $100M.
