Our Expertise
Proven Expertise in Utility-Scale Solar Development
The Company has been developing utility-scale solar plants since 2002.
Collectively our team of experts has over 100 years of industry experience and has consistently created real value for our partners and customers.
Our principals played a key role in the successful planning and execution of the early development phases for a $4 billion, 550MW solar project located in California, as well as initiating the development of over 500MW of utility-sized PV projects in California, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.
We identify optimal project sites by applying an internally developed proprietary process called “Opti-Site”. This approach factors in all of the key aspects of existing infrastructure, environmental issues and project economics which enables us to select optimal sites that maximize project revenues, minimize site development costs, and minimize permitting delays.
This proprietary process has been successfully used by the Company’s team to site over 100 utility-scale power plants throughout the U.S. Our team also has extensive experience evaluating complex transmission issues, negotiating large and complex power purchase agreements, and creating sophisticated project financial models.
This comprehensive approach enables the Company to create maximum value in our projects while reducing the overall development risks.
WHY CHOOSE US
Development Capability That Goes Beyond the Site
Finding suitable land is one step. Delivering a project that is fully entitled, transmission-secured, and financially bankable is another matter entirely. Southeast Solar & Power has built its reputation by doing both — consistently, across multiple states, over more than two decades.
01
Proven Development Track Record
500+ MW of utility-scale energy projects developed across Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and California — from initial concept through land contracts, permitting, and interconnection agreements.
02
Transmission and Interconnection Expertise
We identify viable interconnection points before selecting a site — targeting locations with existing transmission capacity that avoid costly and lengthy system upgrades. This is the single most consequential factor in development timelines and project economics.
03
Low-Risk Site Selection
04
Florida Execution Track Record
Every Florida project completed to date has achieved no significant environmental mitigation requirements, no major transmission contingency upgrades, and minimal public opposition — translating directly to faster approvals and greater execution certainty.
HOW WE WORK
Development Cycle
Southeast Solar & Power operates at the highest-value portion of the development cycle where the greatest risks reside — the stages where expertise has the greatest impact on a project’s ultimate success or failure. We identify and develop high-quality utility-scale solar sites, advance them through the most critical stages of development, and deliver fully de-risked, construction ready assets to the right strategic partners.
Our disciplined ten-step development process — from site selection and transmission analysis through permitting, interconnection agreements, PPA negotiation, and financial modeling — is designed to produce projects that are strategically located, technically sound, financially viable, and ready for execution.
